Service Project
This is Nick and is finishing his first year as a Webelos. He has been working his way to becoming an Arrow of Light Webelos. With only a few more months left before the Blue and Gold, Nick looks forward to doing more. He is learning more and more what it means to help others. He is learning that his actions can help or harm others. He understands the impact of community safety.
Nick cleared snow from two hydrants around where he lives. His little sister patrolled the area to make sure he was safe. This was during the 2017 Nor’Easter in Northern NJ. It was explained that taking a few minutes to shovel the snow from around a hydrant, would allow the firefighters to get to the hydrant and put the fire out faster.
